General presentation
Riviera albanaise
A hilly coastline between hills, clear beaches, stone villages and small seaside resorts from Dhërmi to Himarë.
To understand what the Albanian Riviera is, look at Col de Llogara, Dhërmi and Gjipe. These places give you the opportunity to see a territory marked by the coastline, the mountain reliefs and the natural spaces and allow you to pass from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.
See all
For a stay of 3 to 7 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: slow and very seasonal roads. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Town or village
Col de Llogara
The Llogara pass marks a spectacular shift between the Albanian mountains and the Ionian Riviera. The road winds between pines, steep slopes and escapes from the sea; in clear weather, the coast appears suddenly, with Dhërmi, beaches and reliefs diving towards the water.

Town or village
Dhërmi
Dhërmi combines an old stone village hanging on the slope and a very clear coast below, bordered by beaches and bars. The contrast is strong between the quiet streets of the top, white churches and the more lively summer atmosphere of the coast.

Town or village
Gjipe
Gjipe hides at the outlet of a canyon, between light cliffs, pebble and Ionian sea of a deep blue. Access requires a walk or a boat arrival, which preserves a feeling of relative isolation, especially out of full summer, when the canyon resumes the top on the parasols.
