General presentation
Canmore
Former mining town, now a base of open air, framed by the Three Sisters and the Bow Valley.
Three Sisters, Grassi Lakes and Canmore Nordic Centre provide the most telling landmarks of Canmore. Together, they form a destination where urban life, mountain reliefs, riverscapes and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.
See all
For a stay of 3 to 6 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Nature and landscape
Grassi Lakes
Grassi Lakes seduced by two small transparent water basins, with green and blue hues, nestled at the foot of the cliffs near Canmore. The trail is short but rewarding, with views of the valley, pines, limestone and climbers sometimes visible on the walls above the lakes.

Culture and heritage
Canmore Nordic Centre
The Canmore Nordic Centre recalls the Olympic heritage of the city while remaining a very active sports ground. Cross-country skiing in winter, mountain biking and running on trails in fine weather: the site shows Canmore Training side, with marked tracks and regular views of the peaks.
