Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Place indismissible
Chute Montmorency
The Montmorency Falls impresses with its water curtain that falls into the river, close to the St. Lawrence and Quebec City. Hanging passerelle, stairs and gazebos offer very different angles, from rumbling to the foot of the waterfall to the unobstructed view of Île d'Orléans.

Place indismissible
Basilica Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré
In front of the St. Lawrence, the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré has long attracted pilgrims, families and curious about religious art. Inside, mosaics, stained glass windows, ex-votos and chapels tell a very lively popular fervour, especially around the feast of Sainte-Anne at the end of July.

Nature and panorama
Canyon Sainte-Anne
To Canyon Sainte-Anne, the river sinks into a dark rock gorge before diving in cascade. Bridges, some suspended above the void, give a very physical visit: water noise, sprays, tight walls and forest hanging on the relief.

Nature park
Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier
Jacques Cartier National Park protects a deep glacial valley where the river winds between slopes covered with coniferous trees. Hiking, canoeing and wildlife observation take on another dimension, as the landscape alternates pebbles beaches, calm meanderings and views over the Laurentian massif.
