Djebel Nefoussa
Jebel Nefoussa brings together Amazigh cities and collective attices on the reliefs of Western Tripoli. Nalout, Kabaw, Jadu and Qasr al-Hajj show different relationships between villages, agricultural resources and storage. The distances between these stages require a regional reading of the heritage, in an area where travel is formally not recommended.
To understand what Jebel Nefoussa is, you must look to the side of Nalut and its fortified attic, Qasr al-Hajj and Kabaw and its collective attic. These places give us a view of a territory marked by mountain reliefs, the countryside and heritage and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Nalout et son grenier fortifié
Nalout is located at the western end of the Jebel Nefoussa, on the regional axis between Tripoli and Ghadamès. The city is a step in understanding the location of the plateau and the collective storage heritage associated with local communities.

Qasr al-Hajj
Qasr al-Hajj is a circularly fortified attic, organized around a courtyard and storage cells. It met the needs of the families in the surrounding area and illustrated a collective organization of agricultural reserves in the western Tripolitain.

Kabaw et son grenier collectif
Kabaw is located on the northern edge of the Tripolitain plateau, in the Nefoussa mountains. Its collective attic belongs to the same architectural family as those of Nalut and Qasr al-Hajj, while also integrating itself into a clean urban context.

Jadu, also transcribed Gado, is a mountain town in western Tripoli. Its identification avoids confusion with other close names; it is an urban landmark in the regional route of Jebel Nefoussa.
