Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.
Fortress
Gori Fortress
The fortress of Gori occupies a hilltop above the city. Its ramparts are observed from the open accesses, without going up on the fragile parts.
Rock-cut site
Uplistsikhe
Uplistsikhe keeps cut spaces in the rock above the Mtkvari. Irregular and exposed surfaces require caution, water and adapted shoes.
Museum
Stalin Museum in Gori
The Stalin Museum presents historical material related to the Soviet leader. Place its narrative in the context of repression and compare it with other sources.
Church
Ateni Sioni Church
Ateni Sioni is located in the valley of Ateni and preserves architecture and religious decorations. Confirm open spaces and respect the practices of worship.
