The pass crosses the chain more than 4,700 meters on the Tibet road. Distances, weather and access conditions must be checked before departure; water, warm clothes and time limits remain useful, even in summer.

The city is a railway and logistics node south of the Qaedam basin. An early-day visit allows you to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.

A clear source is a traditional stop on the Kunlun road. Season, wind and water levels greatly alter the experience; fragile banks and possible local restrictions must also be respected.
