Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Place indismissible
La Soufrière
The Sufrière imposes a living volcano atmosphere, between wet savannahs, sulphur fumoils and clouds that sometimes swallow the summit. The path changes quickly with the weather: slippery stones, wind, flash lightening on Lower Earth. When the sky opens, the view goes to the reliefs of the island and the Caribbean Sea.

Waterfall
Chutes du Carbet
The Carbet Falls descend from the Sufrière Mountains into a thick forest where the moisture envelops ferns, trunks and bridges. Depending on the open route, the tour gives access to very different points of view: distant water curtain, rumbling in vegetation, or pool collected after a more intense walk.

Nature and landscape
Pointe des Châteaux
At the eastern end of Grande-Terre, the Pointe des Châteaux is advancing in the Atlantic with its cut rocks, sprays and the Désirade laid off. The wind shapes the experience as much as the landscape; the exposed trails require caution, especially when the swell strikes slabs and coves.

Nature and landscape
Pointe-à-Pitre
Pointe-à-Pitre is discovered by its perfumed markets, ancient houses, docks and the ACTe Memorial on the waterfront. The city gives another texture to the voyage in Guadeloupe: more urban, more commercial, marked by the port history and by the traffics between the islands of the archipelago.
