Silk Road museums, wooded mountains and heritage today mark the southern Ningxia.
Monts Liupan, Grottes de Xumishan and Ville de Guyuan give the most telling landmarks of Guyuan and Lippanshan. Together, they form a destination where urban life, mountain reliefs, forests and heritage meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

This wet, woody chain contrasts strongly with the adjacent dry trays. Distances, weather and access conditions must be checked before departure; water, warm clothing and time margins remain useful, even in summer.

Buddhist statues occupy several cliffs along an old road. The place remains culturally sensitive and is discovered with discretion, without hindering local practices; religious timetables, dress and photographic rules are to be checked on site.

The city occupies a high agricultural basin at the crossroads of Ningxia and Gansu. An early-day visit allows you to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.
