General presentation
Parc national Kouchibouguac
Lagoons, dunes, salt marshes and Acadian forest form a peaceful park with remarkable night sky.
The discovery of Kouchibouguac National Park is based around Kouchibouguac National Park, Kellys Beach and Kouchibouguac Lagune. The stay thus alternates between the coastline, wetlands, forests and natural areas, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.
See all
For a stay of 3 to 6 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Nature park
Parc national Kouchibouguac
Kouchibouguac protects a low and bright coastal landscape, made of dunes, lagoons, salt marshes, forests and barrier islands. The park is lived by bike, on foot or on water, with a strong presence of birds, quiet beaches and traces of the Mi'kmaq and Acadian history.

Beach
Plage Kellys
Kellys beach is reached by a long bridge that crosses the marshes and dunes before opening onto the Gulf. This path gives its full interest to the place: we pass from salted herbs to sand, then to a large beach where birds and wind take a lot of space.

Place indismissible
Lagune de Kouchibouguac
The Kouchibouguac lagoon forms a body of water sheltered between dunes, marshes and coastal forest. In kayaking or from the shores, you can see birds, salty herbs and variations of light on a water calmer than the offshore, very different from the exposed beaches of the park.

Nature and panorama
Passerelle de la tourbière
The bog bridge allows you to enter a fragile environment without leaving the wood under your feet. Black spindles, sphagnums, carnivorous plants and small bodies of water make up a discreet landscape, more attentive than spectacular, where each detail reveals the adaptation of the plants to water-sipulated soils.
