General presentation
La Gomera
A steep and green Canarian island, between laurels forest, ravines, villages, cliffs and hikes.
Garajonay, Valle Gran Rey and Roque de Agando give the most telling landmarks of La Gomera. Together, they form a destination where island landscapes, mountain reliefs, forests and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.
See all
For a stay of 4 to 8 days, it is best to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: ferry or inter-ile flight and mountain roads. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. However, some sites require more walking, elevation or preparation.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Mountain island
La Gomera
La Gomera offers a strong relationship between mountain, forest and coast, with villages nestling in various micro-reliefs. The journey becomes a sensory discovery made up of clouds, abrupt views and more closed passages. Visitors gain a slow tempo, especially in the late morning when the bright contrast stabilizes.

Laurel forest
Garajonay
Garajonay It requires a dense forest immersion: shadow, humidity, foliage and step relief. The trails are a set of textures where the eye gradually gets used to the passage of light. To feel the strength of the place, we prefer short and regular stops rather than a visual race.

Valley and coastline
Valle Gran Rey
Valle Gran Rey descends on terraces from the walls of the ravine to the beaches of the west of La Gomera. The road successively unveils palm groves, hamlets hanging on the slope and views of the Atlantic before reaching the seafront. The valley is an excellent base for alternating swimming, hiking and discovering villages.
