General presentation
La Graciosa
Small sandy island north of Lanzarote, without large roads, with wild beaches, slopes, low village and very slow rhythm.
The discovery of La Graciosa revolves around Caleta de Sebo, Playa de las Conchas and Montaña Bermeja. The stay thus alternates between the island landscapes, the coastline and the natural spaces, which gives a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.
See all
For a stay of 1 to 3 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to anticipate: ferry necessary and little shade. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Town or village
Caleta de Sebo
Caleta de Sebo is the main village of La Graciosa, a small port on the sandy streets where the low houses look at the Strait of El Río. When arriving by ferry, you pass directly from the docks to the terraces, bicycles and unpaved roads of the island. It is the most convenient base for organising beaches while maintaining a very maritime atmosphere.

Range
Playa de las Conchas
Playa de las Conchas has a large crescent of light sand facing the islands of Montaña Clara and Alegranza. The permitted bike or vehicle route crosses volcanic lands before the sudden opening on the Atlantic. The currents are often powerful: the place is first of all for its landscape and its sense of isolation, rather than for systematic swimming.

Volcano and panorama
Montaña Bermeja
Montaña Bermeja is recognized by its dark red cone set behind Playa de las Conchas. A short ascent leads to a clear panorama of the beach, the volcanoes of La Graciosa and the islands of the northern Chinijo archipelago. The wind and the absence of shadow make the climb more demanding than it looks.
