Nature and landscape
Fontainebleau State Park
Fontainebleau State Park the former estate of a sugar factory on the banks of Pontchartrain Lake, with ruins of bricks, oaks, walkways and open beach on the water. The trails cross marshes and pine forests, while the sunsets on the lake give the park a separate place on the Northshore.

Lake
Lake Pontchartrain
Lake Pontchartrain looks like a shallow inland sea, bordered by New Orleans to the south and the more peaceful cities of Northshore to the north. Bridges, piers, fish restaurants and windwalks make up a very Louisian experience, between brackish water, huge sky and distant silhouettes.

Culture and heritage
Abita Mystery House
I'm not sure what I'm doing.Abita Mystery House is a cabinet of road curiosities filled with DIY objects, automatons, painted panels and finds assembled with humor. In Abita Springs, this stop is divided with the landscapes of lake and bayou: it speaks of popular art, local obsessions and handmade fantasy.

Place indismissible
Tammany Trace
The Tammany Trace Turns an old railway track into a soft track between Covington, Abita Springs, Mandeville, Lacombe and Slidell. By bike or by foot, the route crosses wood, bridges, small stations rehabilitated and near Pontchartrain Lake, with many shaded portions suitable for a car-free exit.
