General presentation
Ordesa et Pyrénées aragonaises
Large glacial valleys, limestone cliffs, stone villages, Monte Perdido and major hikes of the Spanish Pyrenees.
Ordesa Valley, Monte Perdido and Aínsa give the most telling landmarks of Ordesa and Aragonese Pyrenees. Together, they form a destination where mountain reliefs, natural spaces and heritage meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than a single uniform decor.
See all
For a stay of 3 to 7 days, it is necessary to plan a fairly sustained day. Also to be expected: possible seasonal shuttles and demanding hikes. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. However, some sites require more walking, elevation or preparation.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

National Park
Parc national d'Ordesa
Ordesa National Park concentrates limestone canyons, forests, waterfalls and huge walls in one of the most powerful landscapes of the Aragonese Pyrenees. The Ordesa Valley already offers a clear approach to the place, while the higher routes require endurance and reward with spectacular balconies.

Vallee
Vallee d'Ordesa depuis Torla
From Torla, the valley of Ordesa gives itself diagonally, like a vegetal corridor that rises in silence. Bridges, meanderings and rocky thresholds structure the passage more than any panoramic view. The pleasure is to feel the change in temperature, vegetation and luminous intensity as you move forward, rather than aiming for a single final photo.

Summit
Monte Perdido
The Monte Perdido is distinguished by its massive presence and the way in which clouds change its profile over the course of the hour. Its discovery requires a simple progression: to take the step, to look away, and then to go back to the details of the walls, streams and variations of land. The place speaks especially to those who accept a measured walk.

Village
Ainsa
Ainsa offers a texture of living village placed against the relief: alleys, squares and facades where time is read in everyday usage. Its interest lies not in a "large" isolated monument but in the way in which the urban form responds to the relief and surrounding views. Walking gains by taking time to alternate streets and visual breaths.
