General presentation
Pelion and Volos
Mountainous and green peninsula above Volos, between villages with roofs of lauze, Aegean beaches, forests and panoramic roads.
To understand what Pelion and Volos are, you have to look at Volos, Makrinitsa and Tsagarada. These places give us the opportunity to see a territory marked by mountain reliefs, coastline, forests and heritage and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.
See all
For a stay of 3 to 6 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: winding roads and changing weather on the Aegean slope. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Town or village
Volos
Volos is a living port city at the foot of the Pélion, known for its tsipouradika, its docks and its role as departure to the mountain villages. It offers a very concrete mix of sea and relief: boats, cafes, market, and then yaw roads to Makrinitsa or Tsagarada.

Town or village
Makrinitsa
Makrinitsa Volos dominates from the slopes of Pélion, with stone houses, lauze roofs, fountains and natural balcony on the Pagasetic Gulf. The village is particularly pleasant out of the most frequented hours, when the alleys regain their calm and the view widens.

Town or village
Tsagarada
Tsagarada is dispersed in the forests of the Pélion, between giant plane trees, stone houses, shady paths and access to Aegean beaches. The village does not have a unique center: its interest comes from these hamlets connected by greenery, with the sea that appears between the trees.
