General presentation
Îles Pitcairn
Pitcairn brings together a tiny community, ocean cliffs and several uninhabited islands accessible only by sea.
Adamstown, Bounty Bay and Henderson Island provide the most telling landmarks in Pitcairn Islands. Together, they form a destination where island landscapes, coastline, heritage and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than a single uniform decor.
See all
For a stay of 2 to 6 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: access only by boat according to a limited schedule and very limited accommodation capacity. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Place indismissible
Adamstown
Adamstown is the only inhabited village of Pitcairn, situated on the heights between church, square, small museum and steep paths. The visit gives a very concrete idea of island life: scattered houses, gardens, commercial vehicles, views of the ocean and the ubiquitous memory of the mutineers of the Bounty.

Nature and landscape
Bounty Bay
Bounty Bay concentrates the arrival in Pitcairn in a narrow handle, more landing port than beach. The long boats face the swell to connect the ships to the shore, near the site associated with the burning of the HMS Bounty; the sea controls here the calendar, the rhythm and sometimes the impossibility of docking.

Place indismissible
Île Henderson
Henderson is an uninhabited raised atoll, covered with low vegetation and known for its endemic birds. Its interest comes from its almost total isolation in the Pacific, but also from its vulnerability: landings are rare, very framed, and the discovery is limited to authorized monitoring or conservation operations.
