General presentation
Saint-Malo et Côte d'Emeraude
Corsary city, beaches, ramparts and escapades to Dinard or Cancale.
Remparts, Accessible Beaches and Marine Excursions give the most eloquent landmarks of Saint-Malo and Côte d'Emeraude. Together, they form a destination where the coastline, heritage and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than a single uniform decor.
See all
For a stay of 2 to 5 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: summer influx and changing weather. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Historic centre
Saint-Malo intra-muros
Saint-Malo intra-muros tightens its streets behind powerful ramparts, between granite facades, lively squares and escaping towards the port. The city reads better by alternating lanes and round path, as the sea, forts and beaches appear in fragments around the closed city.

Beach
Remparts et plage du Sillon
The ramparts of Saint-Malo offer a walk in height, with the city on one side and the fortified islands on the other. Going down to the Sillon beach, the scenery changes abruptly: large sand line, wooden breakwaters, seafront villas and spectacular tidal variations.

City
Dinard et villas Belle Epoque
Dinard displays a more seaside Emerald Coast, with Belle Époque villas, balcony gardens and walks above the beaches. The coastal trails best reveal its character: from one turn to another, the facades of the construction respond to Saint-Malo, visible on the other side of the estuary.

City
Cancale
Cancale first lives in front of the oyster parks, when the tide discovers the tables and the harbour simmers around the tastings. Beyond the seafront, the paths to the point of the Groin give air to the living room, with cliffs, creeks and long views of the bay.
