General presentation
Skagen et Jutland du Nord
Mobile dune, clear light, fishing villages and encountering seas at the northern end of Denmark.
To understand what Skagen and Jutland are from the North, you must look at Grenen, Skagen Museum and the St. These places give you a view of a territory marked by the coastline, natural spaces and heritage and allow you to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.
See all
For a stay of 3 to 6 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Place indismissible
Grenen
Grenen is an arrow of sand where the waves of the Skagerrak and Kattegat meet in cross currents. The walk to the tip gives a sensation of end of the country, but the swimming remains dangerous.

Museum
Musée de Skagen
The museum gathers the painters attracted to Skagen by its light and the life of the fishermen at the end of the 19th century. The paintings take on another strength after seeing the beaches, dunes and yellow houses that inspired them.

Church
Église ensablée
From the old church of St. Lawrence remains only a white tower rising in the middle of the dunes. The short path in vegetation tells better than long speeches the power of sand that forced the parish to abandon the place.

Place indismissible
Råbjerg Mile
Råbjerg Mile is a huge mobile dune that slowly moves through the north of Jutland. Walking on its ridges offers an almost desert landscape, with the sea and forests visible in the distance.
