General presentation
Tadoussac et Haute-Côte-Nord
Fjord and St. Lawrence confluence known for whale, dunes and forested coves.
Dunes de Tadoussac, Pointe-Noire and Cap-de-Bon-Désir give the most telling landmarks of Tadoussac and Haute-Côte-Nord. Together, they form a destination where the coastline, riverscapes, forests and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.
See all
For a stay of 3 to 6 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: conditions to be checked according to the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Nature and panorama
Dunes de Tadoussac
The dunes of Tadoussac form an amazing sand slope above the St. Lawrence estuary. From the top, the view embraces the water, the caps and sometimes the distant breath of the whales; the place is particularly beautiful when the wind draws lines on the sand.

Nature and landscape
Pointe-Noire
Pointe-Noire looks at the confluence of Saguenay and the St. Lawrence, a privileged area for observing water, currents and sometimes marine mammals from the shore. The viewpoints give a very concrete reading of the passage of the boats and the opening of the fjord towards the estuary.

Place indismissible
Cap-de-Bon-Désir
Cap-de-Bon-Désir is one of the best land stations on the Côte-Nord to watch whales, seals and seabirds. Flat rocks on the edge of the St. Lawrence make it possible to settle in front of the water, with naturalists often present to help recognize breaths, backs and fins.
