General presentation
Tintagel and Boscastle
Dramatic north coast, Arthurian ruins, busy harbour, cliffs and coastal path.
To understand what Tintagel and Boscastle are, look at Tintagel Castle, Boscastle and Rocky Valley. These places give you the opportunity to see a territory marked by coastline, heritage and natural spaces and allow you to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.
See all
For a stay of 1 to 3 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: marked terrain and weather-dependent access on cliffs. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. However, some sites require more walking, elevation or preparation.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

Castle
Tintagel Castle
Tintagel Castle mix medieval ruins, steep cliffs and arthurian imaginary in a very exposed setting. The bridge, sea views and fragments of walls give a spectacular visit, but the wind and the steps require to keep a cautious rhythm.

Port
Boscastle
Boscastle sinks into a narrow natural port, framed by green slopes and dark cliffs. The link between village, river and sea is strongly felt, especially by following the path to the entrance to the harbour.

Cascade
St Nectan's Glen
St Nectan's Glen completely changes registry after cliffs of Tintagel, with a wooded valley, a living water and a waterfall wrapped in moisture. The walk is valid for the atmosphere as well as for the end point, especially after light rain.

Coastal Vallon
Rocky Valley
Rocky Valley descends to the sea between rocky walls, creek and tight vegetation. The valley gives a short but striking walk, where it quickly passes from an almost secret interior landscape to the abrupt opening of the coastline.
