General presentation
Val Camonica
Great Alpine valley known for its UNESCO rock engravings, villages, resorts and access to Adamello.
To understand what Val Camonica is, look at Naquane, Capo di Ponte and Adamello National Park. These places give you the opportunity to see a territory marked by mountain reliefs, heritage and natural spaces and allow you to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.
See all
For a stay of 3 to 6 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: long valley and mountain weather. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

Places worth visiting
A selection to start dreaming and organizing the stay — not an exhaustive list of everything there is to see.

World Heritage
Art rupestre du Valcamonica
Valcamonica preserves thousands of engravings representing warriors, animals, agricultural scenes, symbols and ritual figures on its rocks polished by glaciers. The visit requires a slow look at the dark surfaces: depending on the light, an almost invisible pattern suddenly becomes clear, like an image coming out of the stone.

Coast
Capo di Ponte
Capo di Ponte has nothing to do with a coastal place: it is one of the most telling points of the Val Camonica to approach the rock engravings. The routes between rocks, wood and interpretive panels give a physical presence to the prehistoric traces, with a more interesting visit when you agree to walk slowly and observe the surfaces.

Place
Ponte di Legno
Ponte di Legno marks the upper valley, where the Val Camonica It takes a more frank Alpine face. Chalets, torrents and trail departures make up a stage oriented towards walking, skiing or pass roads; it is especially suitable if you want to add altitude to the trip.

Place
Bienno
Bienno Keeps an ancient heart tight around cobbled streets, stone houses and old workshops related to iron work. The village is visited well without a busy program: one follows the passages, canals and facades, with this impression of craft still inscribed in the decor.
