Lake
Lake Fuxian
One of China's deepest lakes retains clear water surrounded by beaches, hills and villages. Season, wind and water levels greatly alter the experience; fragile banks and possible local restrictions must also be respected.
Place indismissible
Maotian Mountain
The fossil site has delivered an exceptional Cambrian fauna that illuminates the explosion of complex animal life. Distances, weather and access conditions must be checked before departure; water, suitable clothing and hourly margin remain useful, even during the most favorable season.
Place indismissible
Old Town of Tonghai
Old streets, temples and gardens occupy a small fertile basin south of Lake Qilu. Collections and remains take time to go beyond a simple photographic stop; reserving a sufficient beach helps to understand their regional historical context.
