Danzhou
An ancient land of exile from Su Shi, Danzhou combines litterate heritage, volcanic coast and villages in the northwest of Hainan.
Danzhou's discovery revolves around Dongpo Academy, Ancient Yangpu Salines and Longmen Bay. The stay thus alternates between urban life, the coastline, heritage and the countryside, which gives a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

Place indismissible
Académie Dongpo
Courses, gardens and memorials remind us of the exile of the poet Su Shi in Hainan. An early visit allows us to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.
Place indismissible
Anciennes salines de Yangpu
Volcanic basins and rocks have been used for centuries to concentrate and dry salt. Collections and remains take time to exceed a mere photographic stop; a visit helps to understand their regional historical context.
Place indismissible
Longmen Bay
Basalt fals, sea arches and fishing villages border the west coast. Season, wind and water levels greatly alter the experience; fragile banks and possible local restrictions must also be respected.
