Erdenet and Bulgan
A planned mining town, provincial museums and wooded steppe landscapes show a less touristy Mongolia.
The discovery of Erdenet and Bulgan is based on Erdenet, Erdenet Museum and Bulgan. The stay thus alternates between urban life, the countryside and the heritage, which gives a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

Place indismissible
Erdenet
The city has developed around one of the largest copper mines in Asia. Districts, monuments and the market tell of socialist urbanization better than a mere technical stop. A slow visit allows to go beyond the only points of view best known.
Museo
d'Erdenet Museum
The local museum presents the history of the mine, geology and cultures of the province of Orkhon. It clearly contextualizes the economy that structures the city. A slow visit allows to go beyond the only points of view best known.
Place indismissible
Bulgan
The small provincial capital is surrounded by greener hills, forests and pastures than the Gobi. It serves as a basis for understanding an agricultural area rarely included in the circuits.
