Presentazione generale
Wenchang
Cocoteraies, overseas villages and the space centre characterize the northeast coast of Hainan.
Wenchang Space Centre, Dongjiao Cocoteraie and the former residence of Soong Ching-ling give the most telling landmarks of Wenchang. Together, they form a destination where urban life, the coastline and the heritage meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

For a stay of 2 to 5 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: variable influx depending on the season. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Culture and heritage
Wenchang Space Centre
The coastal base launches Chinese heavy rockets over the South China Sea. An early-day tour allows you to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.

Cocoteraie de Dongjiao
Thousands of coconut trees border villages, narrow roads and beaches of the peninsula. An early visit to the peninsula allows you to better observe local usages and the details of the place, while avoiding some of the groups and traffic.

Ancienne résidence de Soong Ching-ling
The family home and a memorial evoke the honorary president born in the region. Collections and remains take time to go beyond a mere photographic stop; a visit made helps to understand their regional historical context.
