Anticythère between Crete and Cythera, on a sea route known for the wreckage that delivered the famous ancient mechanism. The island remains isolated, dry and very sparsely populated; visitors mainly find coves, trails, migratory birds and a strong sense of end of the world.

La Canée It brings together an old Venetian port, Ottoman facades, arsenals and alleyways where the workshops sit alongside the taverns. It is a living base for the Cretan west, between departures to the gorges, lagoon beaches and villages of the White Mountains.

Balos mixes shallow lagoon, light sand, rocks and waters that pass from turquoise to dense blue depending on the light. The site joins by boat or by track and then walks, with a strong attendance in the middle of the season but a maritime decor difficult to confuse.
