Culture and heritage
National Museum of the United States Air Force
Near Dayton, the National Museum of the United States Air Force gathers bombers, presidential aircraft, missiles, prototypes and aircraft from all ages in huge halls. The visit is as much for technical enthusiasts as for the curious history, as the machines show the evolution of the flight, the air war and American research.
Nature and landscape
Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park
Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park links the traces of the Wright brothers from the middle of the Miami Valley and a wider poetic trajectory with Paul Laurence Dunbar. The visit points form a short but dense reading of the local aviation history. It's a perfect anchor to understand Dayton's role.
Nature and landscape
Carillon Historical Park
Carillon Historical Park combines historical buildings, technical objects and local production stories, with a progression towards several periods of Dayton history. The mix of industry and everyday life gives a lot of relief to the windows, even for a low-specialist audience. The park shows technological evolution on one route.
