Major site
West Quoddy Head Light
West Quoddy Head Light, red and white, marks the eastern end of the American continental coast. The trails slowly climb towards cliffs where the crossing of the sea pass and the Canadian islands can be seen. Whales sometimes complete the panorama, when the sea allows.
Nature and landscape
Eastport
Eastport It extends over several islands connected to the continent, with a seafront shaped by fishing. The wharfs and Shackford Head Trail offer views of currents and seals in a constant dynamic. It is an open port city on the border.
Nature and landscape
Cobscook Bay State Park
Cobscook Bay State Park lives at the rhythm of powerful tides that discover muds, channels and rocks before covering everything a few hours later. Short trails lead to observation points where raptors, siblings and changing reflections on the bay are seen. The place is suitable for patient travellers, sensitive to the landscapes that move slowly.
