The National Park of Dzūkija Covers vast pine forests, wood villages and valleys of Nemunas, Merkys and small clear streams. Picking, beekeeping and craftsmanship remain visible, especially around hamlets where gardens, wells and fences tell about forest life.

The Merkinė observation tower dominates the confluence of the Nemunas and Merkys, above a huge forest mass. From the platform, the two rivers draw their curves in the pines, with the village and the old historical heights in retreat.

Čepkeliai Reserve
Čepkeliai is a large, protected peatland, made of mosses, rough pines, dark water and landscaped passageways. The limited access gives the place a special value: there is a fragile, silent environment, where each step remains framed to preserve the saturated soils of water.
