Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley
Ancient forest, views of the Wye, caves, wooded villages and possible excursion to Tintern.
Symonds Yat, Puzzlewood and Tintern Abbey are the most telling landmarks of Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Together, they make up a destination where forests, riverscapes, natural spaces and heritage meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

Belvedere
Symonds Yat
Symonds Yat The place changes at the slightest displacement, between observation points, reflections on the river and wooded aisles. An extended stop allows you to read the layers of landscape and relief. The view of the valley is a perfect place to see.
Forest
Puzzlewood
Puzzlewood offers an immersion in a unique forest, made of stones, trunks and paths that guide the walk. The interest lies in the quality of natural contrasts and light, difficult to predict, making it a very living space. A careful progression gives a tactile reading of the undergrowth.
Caves
Clearwell Caves
Clearwell Caves reveals upside-down mining of the Forest of Dean, in galleries where the ochre, moisture and irregular walls give a very material presence to the basement. The visit was nothing like a smooth cave: it tells the work of the ore, the dug corridors and the persistent freshness of the rock.
Abbey
Tintern Abbey
Tintern Abbey imposes itself by its ruins traversed by light and vacuum, with an architecture open to the rhythm of the place. Gradually entering reveals a spatial narrative that the facade photo does not summarize. Quiet moments give a more accurate understanding of its relationship with the valley.
