Holland and Saugatuck
Lake Michigan beaches, dunes and Dutch heritage in two lively resorts.
Holland and Saugatuck are based around Holland State Park, Windmill Island Gardens and Saugatuck Dunes State Park. The stay thus alternates between the shores and the lakes, the coastline and the urban life, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only most well-known site.

Nature and landscape
Holland State Park
Holland State Park juxtaposes access to Macatawa Lake and Lake Michigan Front, allowing for a rapid change in atmosphere between more narrow areas and wide perspectives. It is an open space for families and walkers looking for beaches, sandy capes and a real presence of dunes.
Nature and landscape
Windmill Island Gardens
Windmill Island Gardens De Zwaan, a Dutch windmill still in operation, is located in the middle of landscaped gardens. The site mixes technical history with landscaped walks: the wood of the mill, the movement of the blades and the flowered alleys make it a sensitive stop in the middle of the city.
Nature and landscape
Saugatuck Dunes State Park
This state park on the shores of Michigan offers a succession of beaches, dunes and wooded passages between Saugatuck and Holland. There is a very visible lake edge rhythm, with wind, sand and successive openings that favour long walking or a short pause facing the big horizon.
