Lake Ähijärv is one of the simplest accesses to Karula National Park, with information center, small beaches and trail departures. Its banks alternate open and wooded areas, making it a good starting point for capturing the soft reliefs of the park.

The Rebasemõisa lookout opens a clear view of the Karula hills, punctuated with lakes, meadows and forest masses. In clear weather, the landscape seems almost undulating; at sunset, the reliefs take more depth.
