Kodiak Archipelago
Cut-out coasts, forests, brown bears and island communities make up one of the great landscapes of the Gulf of Alaska.
The discovery of Kodiak Archipelago is centred around Kodiak Island, Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge and Afognak. The stay thus alternates between island landscapes, the coastline, forests and natural areas, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only most famous site.

For a stay of 3 to 7 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: transport and openings to be confirmed and weather likely to modify the program. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Remarkable location
Kodiak Island
Kodiak Island combines vegetation-covered mountains, cut-off coasts, fishing harbours and changing weather in the Gulf of Alaska. It evokes both salmon, brown bears and seaplanes as well as autiiq and Russian tracks, with movements often dictated by rain, wind and tides.
Remarkable location
Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge
The Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge protects vast valleys, salmon rivers, moist mountains and habitats of the brown bear of Kodiak. Wildlife observation requires guidance, distance and patience, as the experience is played in an isolated environment where animals and weather often decide the program.
Remarkable location
Afognak
Afognak north of Kodiak, offers spruce forests, deep bays and waters frequented by local fishermen, kayaks and boats. The island is of particular interest to those looking for a maritime and forestry Alaska, which is less accessible by road than by boat or seaplane.
