Place indismissible
Fallingwater
Fallingwater remains a strong reference where Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture seems to flow in the fall rather than above. The house materializes a continuity between home and nature, more radical than one imagines in its external form. When visiting it, each room recalls the desired proximity to water.
Nature and landscape
Ohiopyle State Park
Ohiopyle mixes rapids of the Youghiogheny, ancient railway tracks converted into itineraries and views of the waterfalls. According to the schedule, one goes from a contemplative walk to a more sporty exit into the river. The park gives a multiple reading of the gorges without forcing performance.
Place indismissible
Kentuck Knob
Kentuck Knob, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is based on simple lines and a clear natural insertion into Stewart Township's landscape. The volumes show a modernist house facing the horizon, without any spectacular volume effect. The visit is better read in the relationship between interior geometry and relief.
