Lehigh Valley
Old industrial cities, Moravian culture and river landscapes.
SteelStacks, Historic Moravian Bethlehem and Allentown Art Museum give the most telling landmarks of Lehigh Valley. Together, they form a destination where urban life, heritage and riverscapes meet, with atmospheres that change over the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

Place indismissible
SteelStacks
SteelStacks has transformed Bethlehem Steel's blast furnaces into a cultural setting, with concerts, projections and public spaces at the foot of industrial structures. Steel masses remain visible, almost sculptural, without being erased by conversion. The site tells Bethlehem by the noise that has disappeared from the factories as well as by the current usages.
Place indismissible
Historic Moravian Bethlehem
Historic Moravian Bethlehem preserves community buildings, stone houses and streets linked to the former Moravian settlement. The places of worship, workshops and courses give a precise picture of a city that is thought of around work, faith and collective life. The visit is particularly interesting when compared to the nearby industrial wasteland.
Culture and heritage
Allentown Art Museum
L-Allentown Art Museum is located in an active cultural valley, with a varied collection that gives a contemporary reading of an ancient industrial territory. The interior spaces value a direct relationship to the works, without tourist detours. It adds a useful artistic texture to the Lehigh Valley crossing.
