Place
Leiria
Leiria It is distinguished by its ancient centre and streets that connect daily life and extended coastal horizon. The materials, covered passages and connections to the peripheral areas give a very direct picture of the city. A short journey allows you to see the balance.
Heritage
Leiria Castle
The castle of Leiria offers a clear composition between vertical volume, walls and courtyard. The surroundings give as much information as the facades: one understands the place of the monument in the city by following its accesses. The visit wins to be thought in several sequences.
Place
Marinha Grande
Marinha Grande tells a history more industrial and forest than monumental, between glass tradition and proximity to Leiria's pine forest. The curious traveller finds a counterpoint to the nearby historic cities: workshops, glass museum, modest streets and quick access to the pine landscapes that lead to the Atlantic.
