For a stay of 1 to 4 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: seasonality to check and sometimes important distances. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Nature and landscape
Kent Falls State Park
Kent Falls descends in several water tables on blocks and dense vegetation. The short trail climbs and then descends back to the lower levels where the fall concentrates, especially expressive after the rain. It is a natural stop of very good intensity/effort ratio.
Culture and heritage
Litchfield Historic District
The historic district of Litchfield is read by chaining 18th and 19th houses around a narrowed centre and a neat green. The walk offers a precise rural elegance, with details of alignment and roof that tell local history better than a sign.
Nature and landscape
Mohawk Mountain State Park
Mohawk Mountain alternates wooded tips, sinuous trails and simple gazebos. Even without a long hike, the road is enough to embrace the reliefs of Litchfield Hills and slide from green undergrowth to panoramic openings. The park maintains a good balance between relaxation and effort.
