Montgomery
A capital where confederate history, civil rights and contemporary memory intersect.
The discovery of Montgomery revolves around Legacy Museum, Rosa Parks Museum and Alabama State Capitol. The stay thus alternates between urban life and heritage, which gives a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

Culture and heritage
Legacy Museum
The Legacy Museum links slavery, systemic racism and the penal system through a dense and deliberately confrontational path. The installations question the collective memory of the Alabama, with a staging that makes the historical continuity feel more than mere dates.
Culture and heritage
Rosa Parks Museum
The Rosa Parks Museum makes visible the struggle around the boycott of the buses of Montgomery, following objects and testimonies in the local context of the city. The scheme values a concrete citizen's history, from daily to event, to the scale of a highly identified place of passage.
Culture and heritage
Alabama State Capitol
L-Alabama State Capitol occupies a hill in Montgomery with political history, from Confederation to the steps for civil rights. Its dome, porticoes and official rooms tell the story of power, but the context around the building is just as important. The visit becomes more profound when it is connected to other places of memory of the city.
Culture and heritage
National Memorial for Peace and Justice
This memorial showcases the memory of racial violence with a scenography that favours human depth rather than a mere factual reminder. The site offers an active gathering experience, where names, names and names, and commemorative gestures require a slow reading of history.
