Namur and the Meuse Valley
Confluence town, citadel, banks of Meuse and easy access to villages, cliffs and small Walloon towns.
To understand what Namur and the Meuse Valley are, you must look to the side of Citadelle de Namur, Bords de Meuse and Dinant. These places give us a view of a territory marked by urban life, riverscapes, heritage and the countryside and allow us to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Citadelle
Citadelle de Namur
The Citadelle de Namur occupies a promontory above the Sambre and the Meuse, with ramparts, undergrounds and views of the city. The visit helps to understand why this confluence point has long been strategic, while offering a beautiful breath over the center.
City
Namur centre et confluence
In Namur, the centre tightens between shopping streets, old facades and lively squares before opening onto the meeting of the Sambre and Meuse. The banks give a calm counterpoint to the lower town, while the citadel remains visible above the roofs and constantly brings the gaze back to the relief.
River walk
Pont de Jambes et vallée de la Meuse
The Bridge of Jambes opens a beautiful perspective on the Meuse, the citadel and the gentle reliefs of Namur. The walk along the water is suitable for a simple break, with reflections, boats and views that change according to the chosen bank.
