Walk

Namche Bazaar

4.6 / 5· Hidengo

This amphitheatre-shaped town is a major stop on Khumbu routes. Explore its lanes without turning an acclimatisation day into a race between viewpoints.

Heritage

Tengboche Monastery

4.7 / 5· Hidengo

The monastery stands above the forests facing Khumbu peaks. Visit as part of a trek; respect services and photography restrictions.

Walk

Gokyo Lakes

4.9 / 5· Hidengo

In a separate branch of the Khumbu, the lakes lie beside Ngozumpa Glacier. Plan a dedicated route; passes connecting other valleys are not simple shortcuts.
