Okefenokee Swamp
Georgia's destination centered on metropolises, Appalachians, marshes and musical cities, useful for covering complete Georgia.
The discovery of Okefenokee Swamp revolves around Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, Stephen C. Foster State Park and Suwannee Canal. The stay thus alternates between natural areas, forests and riverscapes, giving a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

For a stay of 1 to 4 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: seasonality to check and sometimes important distances. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

Nature and landscape
Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge
Okefenokee spreads in cypress marshes with dark waters, through islets and calm canals. Canoe or boat, immersion is slow, with a hidden fauna that appears at the right times. Silence is the first landscape.
Nature and landscape
Stephen C. Foster State Park
Stephen C. Foster State Park Opens the western heart of the Okefenokee for a prolonged immersion. The docks, trails and night at the star reinforce the idea of a natural observation camp. It is a convenient support point to go away.
Place indismissible
Suwannee Canal
The Suwannee Canal recalls an ambitious attempt to transform the marsh, now become a historic marshy structure. The boats follow cypress alignments where the light changes quickly. It reads the history of engineering and nature at the same time.
