Porcupine Mountains
Ancient forest, ridges and inland lakes in the western upper peninsula.
Lake of the Clouds, Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and Near Isle River provide the most telling landmarks of Porcupine Mountains. Together, they form a destination where mountain reliefs, forests, shores and lakes and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

For a stay of 3 to 7 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: changing weather in altitude. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

湖
Lake of the Clouds
Nestled in the State Park of Porcupine Mountains, Lake of the Clouds offers a soft contrast between water and wooded massifs. It is an ideal breathing point in the heart of the forest, where the calm reflections of the surface respond to the steep relief of the surrounding area.
Nature and landscape
Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park
The Porcupine Mountains form a massif of wooded mountains where nature seems more wild than in the neighboring plain, with ancient deciduous forests and deep valleys. The road and trails give the impression of entering a preserved relief, made of ridges, torrents and immense spaces.
川
Presque Isle River
The Presque Isle River Swims to Lake Superior, crossing a territory of forests and valleys in Northern Ontario. The walk along its banks highlights changes in light on the water, with an atmosphere of boundary between open nature and wooded relief.
