Major site
High Falls
High Falls is bringing down the Genesee River in the heart of a reconverted industrial sector, where the old structures of the city extend the power of water. The bridge of Pont de Rennes gives a wide and clear angle on the whole; the old bricks and the flow together form an immediate reading of the industrial past.
Culture and heritage
The Strong National Museum of Play
The Strong National Museum of Play does not separate the game from a cultural past: toys, video games, pedagogy and archives coexist on an active journey. Children experience constantly and adults discover how playful objects draw social practices over several generations.
Culture and heritage
George Eastman Museum
The George Eastman Museum The photographic and cinematographic collections become stronger as the visit emerges from the logic of exhibition to enter into the experience of a century of images.
Culture and heritage
Highland Park
Highland Park is based on a historical landscape design and a remarkable collection of shrub species, with rare lilacs and trees that redefine the seasons. The alleys offer vegetal respiration in the centre of Rochester, and become particularly striking in spring when flowering structure the atmosphere.
