Kolomna Kremlin is also a lived-in neighbourhood. Walking between surviving stretches of wall and Cathedral Square reveals the city inside its 16th-century fortress. A walk around the grounds does not automatically include entry to the towers.

In the former Chuprikov factory, the museum explores how Kolomna pastila is made. Theatrical visits combine craft techniques, workshops and tasting according to the format. Entry is by guided visit only: book before coming to Polyanskaya Street.

Staro-Golutvin Monastery
Away from the old centre, Old Golutvin Monastery brings together churches, a bell tower and a walled enclosure with towers. Its setting near the river confluence offers another view of Kolomna. This is an active monastery: check which areas welcome visitors and respect services.
