Tinos
Cycladic island of marble villages, pilgrimages, dovecotes, agricultural terraces, windy beaches and more discreet landscapes.
The discovery of Tinos revolves around Chora de Tinos, Pyrgos and Volax. The stay thus alternates between the island landscapes, the coastline, the heritage and the countryside, which gives a concrete picture of the destination beyond its only best known site.

For a stay of 2 to 5 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: frequent wind and peaks of pilgrimage. A car is usually the easiest way to connect different sectors. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be checked step by step.

訪れたい場所

Town or village
Chora de Tinos
Chora de Tinos mix of cycladic port, shopping alleys and great avenue of pilgrimage going up to the Panagia Evangelistria. Days of religious celebration strongly change the atmosphere, but the city also remains a good start to the marble villages and the windy beaches.

Town or village
Pyrgos
Pyrgos is the village of the marble Tinos, with carved lintels, fountains, workshops, museum and cemetery where every detail seems to be worked. Its clear streets and large shaded square give a very identifiable stop in the north of the island.

Town or village
Volax
Volax appears in the middle of a landscape of round blocks of granite, as if the village had been laid in a field of giant stones. White houses, plaited baskets and paths around the rocks make it a short but very singular step on Tinos.
