Botanical garden
Khorog Botanical Garden
Khorog Botanical Garden presents plant collections at altitude. Access is verified locally and the preparation of the journey must take into account official warnings.
Fortress in ruins
Yamchun Fortress
Yamchun retains remains dominating the Wakhan Valley. The border area is formally not recommended; the sheet does not recommend approaching the ruins.
City of valley
Ishkashim — Tajik bank
Ishkashim is a Wakhan settlement on the Tajik bank. The neighbouring border and restrictions take precedence over any planned visit; no passage in Afghanistan is proposed.
Spring
Bibi Fatima Hot Springs
Bibi Fatima Hot Springs belong to Wakhan’s natural and religious heritage. Do not attribute medical benefits to them or assume access is possible in this area where travel is strongly discouraged.
