For a stay of 2 to 5 days, it is better to balance visits and travel times. Also to be anticipated: very urban landscape and specific heritage interest. The trip can be organised without a car if the drop point and local connections are selected in advance. Accessibility varies from site to site and deserves to be verified step by step.

World Heritage
Mine d'argent historique de Tarnowskie Góry
In Tarnowskie Góry, the ancient silver mine reveals an underground world of galleries, wells, canals and hydraulic machines. The visit shows how water, as well as ore, shaped mining in Upper Silesia, with sometimes boat trips in tunnels.
Town or village
Nikiszowiec
In the industrial complex of Haute-Silesie, Nikiszowiec offers a rare image of a mining city thought like a real neighborhood. The brick rows, vaulted passages and central church tell the daily life of the miners' families better than a museum.
Town or village
Guido Mine
Guido Mine, in Zabrze, descends into the galleries of an ancient coal mine with machinery, rails, dark walls and underground work stories. The experience is physical and sound, particularly eloquent to understand what the mining industry has represented in the region.
Town or village
Park Śląski
Park Śląski is the great green lung of conurbation, between Katowice and Chorzów, with alleys, ponds, cable car, stadium and cultural spaces. After the mining districts, it shows another side of the Upper Silesia: that of an industrial territory that has offered itself a vast public park.
