Memorial fortress, western border and old railway give Brest a dense history.

Ver tudo
For a stay of 2 to 4 days, a quiet rhythm works well. Also to be anticipated: travel currently formally not recommended by France Diplomacy and formalities, access and conditions of visit to check before any project. A car is usually the easiest way to connect the different sectors. The main sites are generally easy to access.

Culture and heritage
Brest Fortress
The fortress preserves barracks, impact-ridden doors and memorials of the siege of June 1941; its immense sculpture of Courage places the visitor at the heart of the Soviet story of the resistance.
Museu
Brest Railway Museum
Soviet steam locomotives and vehicles are lined up in the open air near the fortress, and they recall the role of Brest as a gap between European and former Soviet networks.
Place indismissible
Rue Sovietskaïa
The main pedestrian street of Brest is known for its lamp lighter, which lights each evening by hand of the old lanterns before the public lighting takes over.
