The top carries temples and monumental statue over a sea of clouds, at more than three thousand meters above sea level. The distances, the weather and the condition of the accesses must be checked before departure; water, suitable clothing and the hourly margin remain useful, even during the most favorable season.

This monastery at the foot of the massif serves as a historical and religious introduction to the routes of Mount Emei.
