To understand what Bandon and Coos Bay are, you have to look at Face Rock, Shore Acres and Cape Arago. These places give you a view of a territory marked by the coastline, natural spaces and urban life and allow you to move from emblematic sites to more intimate stages.

Face Rock
Face Rock overlooks the beach of Bandon with a rocky profile that local legends associate with a sky-facing figure. At low tide, nearby stacks, arches and wet sand create a very graphic walk, punctuated with seabirds and changing reflections.

Shore Acres
Shore Acres mix maintained gardens and spectacular cliffs south of Coos Bay, on the former coastal estate of a local industrialist. The flowered mountains contrast with the ocean just behind, where the waves explode against the rocks during the days of strong swell.

Cape Arago
Cape Arago Marks the rocky end south of Coos Bay, with gazebos facing the reefs and colonies of seals or sea lions. The nearby beaches, spruces and wave bursts give a wilder stage than the nearby urban wharves.

Coquille River Light
The Coquille River Light watch at the entrance of the river Coquille, near the beaches of Bandon and Bullards Beach Park. Its white and red tower stands out on dunes, piers and sandbanks, in an open coastal atmosphere where the wind often decides the rhythm.
