Detian and the Mingshi countryside
Border waterfalls, karst rivers and isolated pitons make up a spectacular rural landscape west of Nanning.
Detian Cascade, Mingshi Campaign and Mingshi Karst Pitons give the most telling landmarks of Detian and Mingshi campaign. Together, they form a destination where riverscapes, mountain reliefs, countryside and natural spaces meet, with atmospheres that change over the course of the stages rather than just one uniform decor.

In Zuojiang Huashan, red silhouettes painted on high cliffs dominate the rivers and karst reliefs of Guangxi. The scenes attributed to the Luoyue people, with human figures, drums and ritual gestures, are read from water or banks, in a setting where the wall becomes almost a ceremonial scene.
